About this event

The 2022 NFB Tony Viljoen Masters Marathon took place on Sunday, 29 May 2022, at N6 @Cobongo turn off in East London, Eastern Cape. Distances were 42.2km and 21.1km. Official results have been published by the timekeeper. It was a qualifying event for the Comrades Marathon.

Comrades Qualifier

We have received requests from some runners aged 20 to 29 for permission
to join masters runners in the marathon in order for them to set a
qualifying time for Comrades 2022.
We are pleased to announce that we have been granted permission for seniors aged from 20 to 29 to enter and to run specifically to qualify. (The half marathon remains a 30 and over event)
