• How the BALLOT ENRIES works:
  • The ballot application is for the Marathon (distance) only.
  • A non-refundable R5 fee applies per ballot application, to validate your bank account details for the full entry fee's processing on 26 November 2025. This R5 fee will be donated to one of our official charities.
  • Once the ballot closes, you’ll receive an email on 26 November 2025 confirming whether your ballot application was successful.
  • If successful, the balance of your entry fee will be automatically processed on 26 November 2025. Please ensure your payment details are correct and that you have sufficient funds. If payment could not successfully be processed (after two attempts) by 28 November 2025, you will forfeit your allocated entry.
  • If your ballot application is unsuccessful, you’ll be able to enter via an official charity or tour operator from 29 November 2025 (first come, first served).
    
    
• Sponsored Entry Selection for 2025 Entrants:
  In partnership with Sanlam, all 2025 marathon entrants will receive a fully sponsored entry to either the 2026 or 2027 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.

Registration Details:

Race pack collection at the Registration Expo (DHL Stadium) follows a strict no-exceptions policy. To collect your race pack, you must present your official race confirmation sent via email or WhatsApp prior to the event.

• Race numbers alone will not be accepted.
• If collecting for someone else, you must bring their confirmation as well.
• For multiple packs, present each confirmation individually. Staff cannot accept lists or gather packs on your behalf.

Expo & Race Pack Collection Times:

• Thursday, 21 May 2026: 09:00 – 19:00 (All Road and Trail Runs)
• Friday, 22 May 2026: 09:00 – 18:00 (All Road and Trail Runs)
• Saturday, 23 May 2026: 09:00 – 16:30 (42.2km Marathon only)

• Two Starts: The 42.2km Sanlam Cape Town Marathon (24 May) has two starts in 2026: The Stadium & Beach Road start. The Stadium start is on Fritz Sonnenberg Road, next to the Stadium, and the Beach Road start is on Beach Road, Mouille Point. Read more here: https://capetownmarathon.com/two-starts/
