About this event
The 2022 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon took place on Sunday, 16 October 2022, at Vlei Road in Cape Town, Western Cape. Distances were 46km, 42.2km, 22km, 10km and 5km. Official results have been published by the timekeeper.
The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is now an Abbott World Marathon Majors Candidate. Cape Town proudly a global city presents this marathon to running enthusiasts around the world. This will be Africa's first World Marathon Major. The running festival weekend includes the Gold Label Status road marathon, and two trail runs - 46km and 22km
