About this event

The 2023 Sanlam Cape Town Marathon took place Sunday, 15 October 2023 from 06:15, at Vlei Road, Cape Town Stadium precinct, Green Point in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Distances included a 42km, 10km and 5km races.

The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is Africa's first Abbott World Marathon Majors Candidate. This global city, fast-paced, circuit route is a marathon open to a range of running enthusiasts, from elite athletes to social runners.

This running festival weekend includes the marathon, the 10km and 5km Peace road runs as well as two incredible Table Mountain Trail runs - 46km and 22km.

Africa is our home. This is our race.
