The first 7000 online entries to the Marathon & Half Marathon will receive an event T-Shirt

T-Shirts can ONLY be collected at race number collection. No T-shirts will be handed out on Race Day or after the event.

Number collection

See below for information pertaining to the collection of your race pack.

Number Collection Information

Race pack collection will be held at: Lakeside Mall, Benoni, 18b Tom Jones St, Benoni, 1501, South Africa
More specific details of collection points for each distance in the mall will be sent out by eMail before registration opens
Runners must show their ID and Race Number confirmation which will be sent out in the race week.
Any consideration for multiple number collections will indicated on the race mailer.
No race numbers and shirts will be handed out on race day

START & FINISH: Start and finish for all distances at Willowmoore Park

Handouts

All finishers will receive a medal

Hydration

Refreshment stations (+3km) will provide Coke and water

Parking

There is race parking at Lakeside Mall (limited to a 1000 bays), Willowmoore Secondary School & Willowmoore Park Stadium

Timing

All events, namely the 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km Family Run will be timed using a timing chip included in your race number. The 42.2km will allow for mat-to-mat timing

Headphones

The use of music players with headphones is not allowed and may result in disqualification

Pets

We regret no pets allowed

Medical

Medical facilities are provided at the venue and along the route at waterpoints

Prize Giving

The 10km prize giving will be held after 09:15, 21km will be scheduled for after 09:40 and 42km prize giving will be scheduled for after 10:15

Regret no wheelchairs, rollerblades, cycles, or mechanically operated device allowed in the races
No pushing of prams or other wheeled carrier is allowed
The 42km /21km race will be started in batches based on seeding. Race numbers will indicate the holding area batch. Seeded runners will line up in the street. All other batches will be in the Willow Park grounds as shown
