4.9km Save the Rhino Fun Run - R50
Note that temporary license fees might apply

No entries available on race day except for the Fun Run

Grandmasters' entry fees (> 60+):

50km - R430
21km - R310

Race entry fees include the by now icon - a commemorative long sleeve T-shirt & special race-designed Medal (21.1km and 50km events only) As well as a ½ bag of oranges.

Number Collection Information

Number Collection will take place at:
- Woodmead Retail Park, Sandton on
  - Saturday, 13 April @ 10h00-18h00
  - Sunday, 14 April @ 10h00-14h00

Number collection will also take place on the day from 04h30 - 06h00

50km only - Wanderers Ave, Steve Tshwete Local Municipality

Friday: 19 April 12h00-20h00
Saturday: 20 April 04h30-06h00

21km only - Loskop Nature reserve, Damwal Complex

Friday: 19 April 12h00-20h00

Race Day Information

START:

50km - Middelburg

FINISH: Forever Resorts

Tog bag facilities will be available

PARKING: Secure Parking at Middelburg Primary School @ R50
COFFEE: Coffee from 04:30 on race day at both START venues @ R20
WATER: Refreshment stations will provide Coke and purified water sachets.

50km Ultra: every 3km for the 1st half and every 2,5km for the 2nd half of the route.
21 km Wild Challenge: every 3km

TRANSPORT:

The N11 road is closed between Middelburg and Loskopdam on race-day between 5:00 - 13:00
Bus transport will be provided to the 50km START in Middelburg from Loskop Dam.
Busses will depart strictly from 04:00-04:45.
Only 750 tickets available. One per athlete.
Tickets will be allocated on a first-come first served basis and to athletes ONLY. NO TRANSPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM MIDDELBURG. ATHLETES ARE REMINDED THAT THE ROAD (N11) TO LOSKOP WILL CLOSE AT 05:00.
Buses returning to Middelburg leaves from 13:00. Last bus leaves Loskop @ 14:00!
Bus tickets (50km only) must be pre-booked with race entry at a cost of R150 per ticket.
NO bus tickets will be sold separately or on race day!

CUT-OFFS: Time limits will apply as follows (NO SECONDS ALLOWED):

21,1 km· Limit of 4 hours 00 minutes
50 km Ultra - Time limit of 7 hours.
50 km Cut-off times: 25 km - 3:45; 36 km - 5:15; 42 km - 6:00

FINISH:

The most spectacular finish of all marathons - experienced at the top of Varaday Hill (48km)
Both the 50km Ultra and the 21km Wild Challenge will finish at Loskopdam, a Forever Resort.
A warning though - "Once you've done a Loskop - you're hooked forever!"

PRIZE-GIVING: Official prize-giving times: 21 km - 11:30 & 50km - 12:00

If you Google “Running Training Programs” or something similar you will find many free programs out there. And some are great, but if you are looking for something more, Coach Parry is the way to go.

They have a whole range of programs, and an awesome app to help you every step of the way. What is more you can join the forums on their website to ask questions or advise.
