About this event

The 2026 Mapungubwe 4-in-1 Marathon took place Saturday, 7 February 2026 from 06:00, at Polokwane Cricket Club in Polokwane, Limpopo, South Africa. Distances included a 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km races.

Mapungubwe 4in1 Marathon is part of the Annual Mapungubwe Arts and Cultural Festival, the flagship project of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, and it is viewed as a big melting pot of heritage, culture and tradition of the province. This event is at the core mandate of the department which is Social Cohesion and Nation Building where people of different race, creed and colour from different parts of the country and the neighbouring states meet to enjoy different art forms.


The marathon is a Comrades Marathon Qualifier and Two Oceans Qualifier.
