About this event
The 2026 Pirates 21K took place on Sunday, 15 February 2026, at Pirates Club in Johannesburg, Gauteng. It was a single 21.1km road race. Official results have been published by the timekeeper.
The Pirates 21K powered by Medshield, known as Joburg's Toughest Half, has become a must-do event on the Gauteng race calendar.
Over 4000 athletes go Over The Mountain on the famous route over Northcliff Hill for bragging rights, a medal for all finishers, and t-shirts (and goody bag) for first 2000 entrants.
