The 2026 SPAR Women's Challenge Cape Town will take place Sunday, 29 March 2026 from 07h00 starting at Vlei Road, Green Point and finishing at Green Point Common Fields in Cape Town, Western Cape. Distances available include 10km, 10km and 5km races.

Refunds

Entry fees are non-refundable, except in the highly unlikely event of a complete race cancellation, in which case a 50% refund will be processed

You will receive race number collection details via SMS by Thursday, 26March 2026. Please ensure you provide a valid cell number with your entry. Group entries collection will take place on Thursday, 26March 2026 from 10: 00 – 15:00 at the SPAR DC in Phillipi only.

Race Day Information

Handouts

Medals to all athletes who finishes within the cut-off time

Hydration

There are two refreshment stations on the 10km route and one refreshment station on the 5km route

Parking

Parking is available at various parking areas near the Race Precinct in Green Point. Paid parking is available at the V&A Waterfront. There is no parking available in Beach Road.

Timing

Your Timing chip has been placed on the front of your race number. The race number must be worn on the front of your vest and be visible at the finish line

Tog Bags

A tog bag facility will be provided. NO VALUABLES are to be left in your tog bag

Headphones

The use of music players with headphones is not allowed and may result in disqualification

Refreshments

Food and refreshments will be on sale at the finish. Halaal options will be catered for by certain vendors.

Pets

Pets are not permitted

Walkers

Social walkers are welcome. Walkers to start at the back and to keep to the side of the road.

Toilets

Toilets are stationed at the start, finish and refreshment stations on the route, but try to go to the ‘ladies’ before leaving home.

Medical

Medical staff will be on duty

Lucky Draws

Lucky draws will be held

Please note that this is a women’s event. Men are not eligible to enter the 10km run, but may enter the 5km run/walk in a supportive role. If a man attempts to use a woman’s race number, they will be prohibited from entering the start area or crossing the finish line, and will receive no eligibility for position or lucky draw prizes, and will receive no seeding preference.
Prams and wheelchairs are permitted in the 5km Fun Run only.
