The 2026 TimBuild Spookhill Challenge will take place Sunday, 19 April 2026 from 07h00 at the Radloff Park in Somerset West, Western Cape. Distances available include 15km and 5km races
Spookhill is a section of Parel Valley Road in Somerset West, where, if you switch your car off, it appears to run up the hill instead of moving downhill. It has generated much discussion as to whether this apparent phenomenon is an optical illusion due to magnetism, or just one of the worlds great unsolved mysteries!
