About this event

The 2023 25th Annual Umgeni Water Marathon took place Sunday, 19 March 2023 from 05:30, at Midmar Dam Resort in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Distances included a 42km, 21km and 10km races.

The Umgeni Water Marathon takes place in March every year during National Water Week and is once again going to be held at the Midmar Dam resort near Howick. The Dam is situated in the picturesque KZN Midlands on the "Old Main Road" (R103) between Jo'Burg and Durban, approximately 4 km off the N3 Freeway, being about 4-hours drive from Jo'Burg and about 1-hours drive from Durban.
