About this event
The 2026 Rand Water Vaal River City Marathon takes place on Sunday, 13 September 2026, from 06:00, at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. Distances are 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km. Online entries are open. It is a qualifying event for both the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon. Details for this event have been verified by RunningCalendar.
Hosted by Lekoa Athletics Club this year's event will offer athletes an early opportunity to accomplish their road running goals at the very beginning of the season while being ushered and cheered on through the lush green lush streets of Vanderbijlpark.
With new, renewed and revitalised partnerships, we look forward to another successful event. The marathon is a Comrades and Two Oceans Marathon Qualifier.
