Come one, come all this Saturday, 09 November 2024! This is Lichtenburg’s oldest running event. The Zebra Zamba is synonym with Lichtenburg and the running event is sanctioned by Athletics South Africa (ASA). The origin of the name of the race can be traced to where the Zebra Zamba takes place, namely the Lichtenburg Wild Teel Sentrum. The Lichtenburg Wild Teel Sentrum has a wide variety of game and wildlife, and you guessed it, Zebra’s!
The Zebra Zamba route offers runners participating in the 10km and 21km a rare opportunity to enjoy the scenery and wide open views of the plains associated with the North-West Province. Besides, nothing beats getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and pressures like a run in nature while sneaking in a few glimpses of wildlife and maybe even a few sightings of Big 5 game!
