• PRIZE-GIVING: Due to the nature of the event there will be no prize-giving.
• TIMING AND RESULTS
• The race distances for the 3 main distances have been measured, certified and approved by the IAAF.
• Timing will be MAT to MAT for 42.2km and 21.1km (start line to finish line).
• There will be a 15 minute start window for the 42.2km & 21.1km runners.
• GUN to MAT on 10km.
• Additional timing mats will be placed on the course to verify times. Participants must cross ALL mats (start line, on route & finish line) to record official times
• Failure to do so could result in no official record
  or disqualification.
• COVID-19 REGULATIONS:
• Entries will be limited to Covid-19 restrictions as per government regulations
• At this stage 2000 athletes are allowed at events, (this may change as per Government Announcement, please keep an eye on our website
  www.midvaalmaymarathon.co.za for any changes).
• ONLY runners will be allowed at the venue, NO spectators.
• Wearing of a mask in public spaces is mandatory, however you can run without a mask, but within the stadium after finishing your race, please wear your mask.
• Hand sanitising and social distancing will be required.
• Should there be a lockdown imposed the event will be converted to a virtual event.
