About this event

The 2026 Prof. Otty Nxumalo Marathon will take place Saturday, 3 October 2026 from 06:00, at Abaqulusi Plaza in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Distances include a 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km races.

In 2026, this event has a new home at Abaqulusi Plaza, in the heart of Vryheid. The race route will take you on a tour of Vryheid town. Whilst on the 42.2 km route, you will catch sight of Inkamana Abbey's memorable architecture and the scenic Klipfontein Dam. Whether you run in a group or prefer a solitary run, this race will definitely give you an enjoyable moment on the road.
