About this event

The 2027 Timbercity Red Hill Marathon & Classic takes place on Saturday, 30 January 2027, from 05:00, at Fish Hoek Sports Grounds in Fish Hoek, Western Cape. Distances are 42.2km, 36km and 13km. Online entries are open. It is a qualifying event for both the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon. Details for this event have been verified by RunningCalendar.

Registration will only be available if the event distance has not sold out online. Any available entries will be posted on social media in the week leading up to the race.

Race week substitutions: available at collection for R50 from 26 to 29 January 2027.

On race day, runners may switch between the 42.2 km and 36 km at the bottom of Red Hill by handing the tear off corner of their race number to an official at the split point and having the official mark through their number.

No substitutions on race morning.

The race organiser reserves the right to accept or reject any entry received.

Entrants who have completed nine Red Hill marathons qualify for a permanent number. Please indicate this on your entry form.

If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond the organisers’ control, the basic 2027 entry fee will transfer to the 2028 event.
