About this event

The 2026 Rand Water Vaal River City Marathon took place on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. Distances were 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km. Official results have been published by the timekeeper. It was a qualifying event for both the Comrades Marathon and the Two Oceans Marathon.

Hosted by Lekoa Athletics Club this year's event will offer athletes an early opportunity to accomplish their road running goals at the very beginning of the season while being ushered and cheered on through the lush green lush streets of Vanderbijlpark.

With new, renewed and revitalised partnerships, we look forward to another successful event. The marathon is a Comrades and Two Oceans Marathon Qualifier.
